Hello, my name is Laura and I am the founder of Wags n Whistles. I decided to change my career after working as a Fashion Designer in London for 16 years to follow my real dream of working with our beloved furry friends! Since leaving the long hours of city working and commuting, I have been able and lucky enough to now have my own adorable and mischievous pup called Inca. She loves helping me run Wags n Whistles as she gets to go out on great adventures with her doggies friends every day!
I was bought up in the Peak District with a number of wonderful dogs and other animals (including a sheep!); coming from a family of animal lovers (my brother is a vet) I have used this experience and life-long love for dogs to build a very happy and reliable service.
ABOUT ME
Here at Wags n Whistles we appreciate that all pets are members of the family and we consider it to be our duty to care for them as if they were our own. It is important for us to have the opportunity of meeting with you face to face to discuss your dogs requirements. Age, ability and breed will be factored in to ensure your dog gets the most out of our service.
We believe in safety first, walking no more than 4 dogs at a time. We feel it is important to maintain individual attention and don’t feel this is achievable in large pack groups.
After picking up your dog in our air conditioned electric vehicle, we will take the short trip to the local park or woodland. We aim to make each walk fun and exciting, ensuring plenty of stimulation, socialising, lots of cuddles and the odd delicious treat if allowed. We dont encourage ball games as we feel that most pups get the most out of interacting with each other, investigating the smells of their surroundings and the odd squirrel chase!
We like to keep you up to date on your dog's adventures so please follow us on instagram (wags_n_whistles). You will also receive a text message when your pooch has been delivered safely back home!
Unfortunately we do not walk unsociable dogs, bitches in season, those who are not up to date with their vaccinations or have not been micro-chipped.
We offer a pop-in service for puppies, other pets, bitches in season, poorly pets or for feeding.
We are fully insured, DBS checked (formerly CRB) and canine first aid trained.
